Wendel Appoints Cyril Marie to the Executive Board to Lead Asset Management
Wendel announces the appointment of Cyril Marie as a member of the Executive Board and Deputy General Manager in charge of Asset Management, effective July 1, 2026. This promotion comes as the Wendel Investment Managers platform manages €50 billion in assets on behalf of third parties.
An Executive with 25 Years of Asset Management Experience
Cyril Marie, aged 52, joins the Executive Board alongside Laurent Mignon (Chairman) and David Darmon (General Manager). A graduate of the University Paris-Dauphine, he has accumulated over 25 years of experience in asset management. From 2009 to 2017, he served as Director of Strategy and Corporate Development at Natixis Investment Managers, before becoming the Financial Director and Head of Strategy from 2018 to 2023. In these roles, he oversaw all financial and development areas and led several major structuring operations and acquisitions.
An Appointment that Validates the Importance of the Third-Party Management Branch
Cyril Marie joined Wendel in July 2023 and played a pivotal role in the development of Wendel Investment Managers (WIM), a platform that includes IK Partners, Monroe Capital, and Committed Advisors. This appointment, decided by the Supervisory Board on June 16, 2026, reflects, according to the group, the growing importance of this activity. After three years of development, WIM managed €50 billion in assets as of March 31, 2026. Laurent Mignon stated: 'His presence on the Executive Board shows that this business is now a growth engine and a creator of value for Wendel alongside direct investment.'
