Among the largest declines in the SBF 120, Forvia shares drop over 8% despite BofA
The automotive equipment manufacturer loses ground in mid-session, well ahead of the Paris index decline, following a surge that had placed it at the top of the SBF 120. The decline occurs as a new series order has just been announced by its subsidiary Hella.
A sharp decline after yesterday's surge, below the three moving averages
The Forvia share falls 8.25% to €8.90, compared to €9.70 at the previous close, while the SBF 120 declines 0.81% and the CAC 40 falls 0.76%. It ranks among the largest declines in the index, behind OPmobility. This decline erases a significant portion of the recent rebound: the share was still up nearly 2% over seven days before the session, but remains down 10% over one month.
The price is below its 20-day moving average (€9.13, 2.52% deviation) as well as its 50-day moving average (€9.15), and well below its 200-day moving average (€10.65, 16.43% deviation). The support at €8.42 is approaching within less than 6% of the current price, while resistance at €9.93 is moving away. The RSI at 60 illustrates a neutral configuration: there is no oversold condition despite the magnitude of today's decline.

On the news front, Forvia Hella announced on Thursday two series orders for its EnergyCore range, from manufacturers in the Americas and Europe. This range combines battery management and power electronics in a single product. A week earlier, on October 6, the group had concluded an agreement with Indian company Anand in seating, with the ambition to reach approximately 10% of this market in India.
On the analyst ratings side, BofA Securities moved Wednesday from sell to buy, with its target raised from €11 to €14. CIC Market Solutions has confirmed its buy rating with a target of €14, representing 57% upside from current levels. Net declared short positions reach 3.95% of capital, distributed among four funds, up 0.13 percentage points over one month according to available filings: a moderate level, with no marked acceleration over thirty days.
