Atos Completes Divestiture of Its South American Operations to Semantix
On Thursday, the Atos Group finalized the sale of its South American operations to Semantix, a Brazilian group specializing in data, analytics, and artificial intelligence. The agreement was signed on December 26, 2025.
Scope of Divestiture and Governance Restructuring
The transaction encompasses Atos Group's activities in Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Uruguay, and Peru. Nelson Campelo, formerly the director of Atos in South America, has been appointed CEO of Semantix. Leonardo Santos Poça D'Água, founder and CEO of Semantix, takes on the role of Executive Chairman, responsible for steering long-term strategy, innovation, and ecosystem development.
Objective of Operational Simplification
Atos indicates that this operation is a significant step in its transformation plan. It aims to accelerate the simplification of the group's operational model and to strengthen its strategic refocus on key markets and high-value technological capabilities. The transaction has been structured to ensure complete service continuity for clients and a smooth transition for employees.
