Atos Group share slides 2% and joins the steepest declines on the SBF 120
The stock is losing ground during the session, with the SBF 120 also trending downward. Selling pressure reflects a longer-term deterioration, as the group has just announced a contract with the London Police.
A share trading below all its moving averages, just a few cents from the 20.38 € support level
Atos is declining 2% to 21.60 € while the SBF 120 is losing 0.9%. The share ranks among the steepest declines in the index, with losses reaching 19.46% over one month and 36.47% over three months. The price is below the 20-day moving average (gap of -9.40%), the 50-day moving average (-21.23%) and the 200-day moving average (-41.97%). The 20.38 € support level is now only around 6% away from the current price, following the move below 20 € recorded at the end of September.
With an RSI of 34, the share is not yet in strict oversold territory. On the short-sellers side, the disclosures reviewed list four funds, with a cumulative net short position of 3.42% of capital. This has increased by 1.62 percentage points in one month, compared to 1.80% previously. Downward pressure has therefore strengthened significantly over the period, although we cannot infer the intentions of the funds involved.
A six-year contract potentially worth 350 million pounds with the London Police
At the same time, the application management contract awarded by the Metropolitan Police Service was announced on October 5. The 350 million pound amount represents a ceiling, with part of the scope remaining optional at the client's discretion. The announcement has not resulted in a rebound in the share price at this stage.
The group, whose share has lost 64% over one year, has been making multiple announcements in the public sector since September. When publishing the first half 2026 results on July 30, the company targeted organic growth of around -5% and an operating margin of around 7%. The session is now playing out around the 20.38 € support level, which was already approached at the end of September.
