MICHELIN Guide Doha 2026 Unveils New Distinctions
The latest edition of the MICHELIN Guide Doha 2026 highlights a selection of 44 restaurants, including 12 new establishments, according to the group's press release.
Starred Restaurants and New Bib Gourmand Awards
According to the press release, the 2026 selection of the MICHELIN Guide Doha includes three restaurants awarded with a MICHELIN star due to the exceptional quality of their cuisine. Alba, located inside the Katara Towers of Raffles Doha, has been promoted to one MICHELIN star thanks to the culinary expertise of chef Cristhian Serraino. Two other establishments, Jamavar and IDAM by Alain Ducasse, have retained their star. Additionally, four new Bib Gourmand distinctions were awarded this year, bringing the total number of Bib Gourmand restaurants in Doha to eight. These awards highlight restaurants offering good value for money.
Introduction of Twelve New Restaurants
The 2026 selection features 12 new restaurants, including nine in the selected category. Notable additions include Em Sherif, Carbone Doha, and Koo Madame. Shanghai Me Doha, with its unique fusion of Chinese and Japanese flavors, and Salt Road, celebrating South African cuisine, are also among the new entries. Each establishment brings a distinctive culinary offering that enriches the gastronomic scene in Doha.
Special Awards Announced
The MICHELIN Guide has also bestowed special awards. The MICHELIN Young Chef Award has been given to chef Cristhian Serraino of Alba for his creativity. The Opening of the Year Award has been presented to Koo Madame. Shanghai Me Doha has received the Service Award for its welcoming team. Lastly, the Exceptional Cocktails/Mocktails Award has been given to y?n, located on the 44th floor of the Waldorf Astoria Doha, for its innovative and complex creations.
