Alten stock leads SBF 120 with +4% following CIC target price hike
Buoyed by well-received semi-annual results and two target price revisions published this Friday, Alten stock establishes itself as the strongest performer on the SBF 120 this morning on September 25th. The stock even briefly breached its resistance level during the session before pulling back slightly, a sign of a notable momentum recovery after several weeks of pressure.
CIC Market Solutions and Bernstein raise their targets following semi-annual results
Two analyst opinions were released this Friday following the publication of 2026 semi-annual results. CIC Market Solutions raises its price target from €80 to €100, while maintaining its analyst consensus at buy. Bernstein, for its part, sets a target at €141 versus €140 previously, with a "outperform" opinion.
Relative to the current price of €73.75, these two targets imply respective upside potential of approximately 36% and 91%. These revisions come after Alten returned to organic growth in the first half, while improving its margin and free cash flow, two points that accompanied a raise in its annual outlook. Based on expected earnings per share according to the consensus of surveyed analysts, the stock trades at approximately 9.8 times current fiscal year earnings and 8.7 times the following year's earnings, with anticipated EPS growth of 12.5% from one fiscal year to the next.
An ephemeral resistance breakthrough that consolidates the bullish technical setup
Alten stock gains 4.17% during the session to €73.75, posting the best performance on the SBF 120 while the broader index advances 0.37% for its part. The stock touched a session high of €77, briefly breaching the resistance at €76.90 before falling back below it. This aborted move illustrates the difficulty in consolidating the breakthrough, but the price remains firmly anchored above its three moving averages: the 20-day MA at €71.60 (+3.00%), the 50-day MA at €70.86 (+4.08%) and the 200-day MA at €64.79 (+13.83%).
The RSI at 51 remains in neutral territory, with no overbought signal despite today's rebound. Over the week, the stock is up 8.7%, a performance that partly offsets the 2.77% decline recorded over one month, while the 36.32% gain over three months testifies to an underlying trend that remains firmly oriented upwards. The next level to watch remains the resistance at €76.90, already tested this morning.
