Alten: Third-Quarter Revenue Up 6.4%, Organic Growth Accelerates
Alten published on October 27, 2026, at 5:40 p.m., third-quarter revenue of €1,055.2 million, up 6.4% year-over-year. On a constant data basis, growth reached 3.6%, compared to 2.3% over the first nine months.
This quarterly pace, higher than the cumulative average, led management to now anticipate organic growth of approximately 2% for fiscal year 2026, with an expected operating margin on activity of around 9.3%. The publication comes as the stock showed, as of October 23, 2026, a gain of 51.5% over three months.
Revenue of €3,164.4 Million Over Nine Months, Up 2.9%
Over the first nine months of 2026, Alten generated revenue of €3,164.4 million, compared to €3,076.0 million a year earlier, representing an increase of 2.9%. France grew by 6.0%, to €1,122.6 million, and international operations by 1.3%, to €2,041.8 million. France's share of the group's activity thus rose from 34.4% to 35.5%.
This published figure incorporates two opposing effects. Changes in scope contributed 1.5% (of which €24.3 million in France and €27.8 million internationally), while the currency effect weighed by 0.9%, or €28.3 million, entirely concentrated outside France.
On a constant scope and exchange rate basis, growth stood at 2.3%: 3.7% in France and 1.5% internationally. Outside France, organic growth is therefore higher than reported growth, with the currency effect representing a negative impact of 1.4%.
In the Third Quarter, Organic Growth Reaches 3.6%
The third quarter in isolation shows a more sustained pace than the cumulative total. On a constant data basis, growth reached 3.6%, with 4.3% in France and 3.2% outside France, compared to 3.7% and 1.5% respectively over nine months. According to the group, this acceleration stems primarily from North America and Asia.
It is internationally where the gap between the two readings is most pronounced: 3.2% in the third quarter alone, compared to 1.5% over the first nine months. In France, the quarterly pace is close to that of the cumulative total.
The press release also details sector dynamics. Aerospace, defense and security, naval and rail are described as "in strong growth," while energy and services are also growing. Automotive, telecommunications and electronics remain in decline, but at a slowing pace, according to the company.
2026 Objective: Approximately 2% Organic Growth and 9.3% Margin
The group reassessed its objectives for 2026. Despite a geopolitical and economic environment described as uncertain, the continuation of growth in the third quarter allows Alten to anticipate "henceforth" organic growth of approximately 2% for the fiscal year.
Management specifies that this objective incorporates a less favorable comparison effect in the fourth quarter, as the corresponding period in 2025 recorded strong activity growth. Regarding profitability, Alten indicates that the operating margin on activity should continue to improve and reach approximately 9.3% in 2026. Annual results will be published on February 23, 2027 at 5:40 p.m.
The most structuring element of the publication remains numerical: organic growth of 3.6% in the third quarter, higher than the pace of 2.3% recorded over nine months, on which the forecast of approximately 2% for the full year is based.
