Amundi acquires 9.9% stake in ICG for 620 million euros
The Paris-based asset manager is implementing the partnership announced in November 2025 with ICG, by acquiring a stake in its capital to develop a private markets offering intended for high-net-worth individual investors.
An economic stake of 9.9% in ICG
Amundi announced on September 17, 2026 that it has acquired an economic stake of 9.9% in ICG, for an investment of approximately 620 million euros. This stake acquisition includes 4.9% of voting rights.
The transaction is part of the long-term strategic and capital partnership announced by the two groups in November 2025. Amundi presents this step as a reinforcement of its position in private markets.
From the third quarter of 2026 onwards, Amundi's assets under management, net inflows and financial results will reflect the contribution related to this stake in ICG. The Paris-based group currently manages approximately 2,600 billion euros in assets, according to data as of June 30, 2026.
For its part, ICG is an alternative asset manager with 126 billion dollars in assets under management as of June 30, 2026, present in more than 20 locations worldwide. ICG invests in structured capital, private equity secondaries, private debt, credit and real assets.
A ten-year distribution agreement in wealth management
The partnership is based on a ten-year agreement under which Amundi acts as the exclusive global distributor, in the wealth management channel, for ICG's evergreen products and certain other products. This exclusivity applies outside the United States, Australia and New Zealand.
In return, ICG becomes Amundi's exclusive provider for these products through its distribution business. The partnership also provides for the joint development of new products specifically targeting high-net-worth individual investors.
The first of these products, focused on private equity secondaries, is to be launched in the coming weeks. According to ICG, it is an evergreen fund providing access to its LP Secondaries investment strategy.
Comments from chief executives

Benoît Durteste, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of ICG, clarified that the teams of both groups are working jointly on several products tailored to the wealth management market. He presented this launch as a first step in realizing the commercial benefits of the partnership.
