The Crédit Agricole share gains 2.34% to €18.80 at closing, in a CAC 40 up 1.03% to 8,495 points. The security broke through its resistance level at €18.67 during the session and is holding above it, a technical signal that extends the momentum observed since the beginning of the month (+7.77% over thirty days). The price is now clearly evolving above its three moving averages, with a gap of 4.91% on the 20-day MA (€17.92) and 9.68% on the 200-day MA (€17.14), a configuration that reflects an established bullish trend. The RSI at 60 remains in a neutral zone, with no overbought signal despite a 15.94% increase over one year.
Interim results expected tomorrow, in a favorable regional context
The group will publish its second quarter and first half 2026 results on July 31st. The announcement comes following a series of positive signals from the regional banks: Crédit Agricole Atlantique Vendée published on July 27th an interim net result up 32.3% to €81.6 million, driven by net banking income rising 11.3%. On the operational side, the group also finalized in early July the acquisition of 100% of CAWL from Worldline and increased its stake in Banco BPM to 29.3%.
According to the consensus of analysts surveyed, the share is trading at approximately 8.4 times the expected earnings of the current fiscal year, with earnings per share growth anticipated at 9.2% next year. Next concrete milestone: the interim publication on July 31st.
