Drone Volt announced on November 2, 2026 that the first trial campaign for the Saboteur, designed by its Belgian partner Sol.One, took place in France in line with expectations.

A Vertical Take-off Carrier Drone Tested at a Drone Volt Site
The trials took place in France, at a secure professional site operated by Drone Volt. According to the company, the system successfully completed the missions planned for this first campaign. This site is used to test, evaluate and present technologies in a controlled environment, before their operational deployment with major clients.
The Saboteur is a vertical take-off and landing platform designed for long-duration missions. Its carrier drone architecture allows it to carry and deploy quadcopter interceptors in flight. The company announces an operating range of approximately 400 to 500 km, an endurance of up to 5 hours and an operating altitude of up to 5 km above ground.
A Firm Order of at Least 50 Million Euros Over Five Years
The partnership between the two companies was announced in a press release on September 2, 2026. It notably includes a firm order of at least 50 million euros, spread over the next five years, as well as the commercialization of the Saboteur system in France to designated clients.
Sol.One designs and manufactures safety-critical avionics platforms as well as civil and military drone systems. Its applications cover counter-drone systems, long-range systems and swarms of drones piloted by artificial intelligence.
Drone Volt Expects Its Services Revenue to Double in 2027
These trial, demonstration and operational support activities feed into Drone Volt's drone services offering (Drone as a Service), deployed across four continents. It notably covers infrastructure, energy, industry, security and specialized technical operations.
The company reports a strong increase in demand for these services. It anticipates that revenue from this activity will double in 2027 compared with 2026, based on current momentum, the expansion of the missions offered and projects under development. Annual revenue will be published on January 13, 2027.
