Drone Volt: nearly €300k in expected Powerline revenues in the fourth quarter, over €500k targeted annually
Drone Volt reported on October 28, 2026 a mission conducted by Drone Volt Expert on behalf of a specialist in electrical network surveillance solutions, as part of a long-term partnership.
According to the group, this order and other similar projects should generate nearly €300k in revenue in the fourth quarter alone of fiscal year 2026.
LineDrone deployed to install monitoring sensors
This mission, carried out in a European country, involved installing surveillance line sensors by drone along approximately 100 kilometers of electrical network. It was conducted by Drone Volt Expert using the LineDrone and is part of the group's Powerline activity, dedicated to operations on ultra-high voltage networks.
Drone Volt presents this operation as an illustration of the development of its "Drones as a Service" (DaaS) model, which combines services with recurring revenue potential, operational expertise, and high-value-added technologies. The target market is driven, according to the group, by the modernization of electrical infrastructure.
Marc Courcelle, Chief Executive Officer of Drone Volt, indicated that this international project confirmed the growth of Powerline activity, a few weeks after the launch of a new site dedicated to drones and high-voltage networks. He specified that the strategy consisted of progressively expanding the offering, from sensor installation to inspection, diagnostics, predictive maintenance, and live-line intervention.
Up to 200 sensors per year targeted over three years
As part of this collaboration, Drone Volt aims to install up to 200 sensors per year for three years. According to the group, this rate would represent annual revenue exceeding €500k.
These devices allow network managers to optimize transport capacity and monitor their lines based on actual operating conditions. According to Drone Volt, the use of drones further reduces operator exposure to risk, limits the use of heavy equipment, and decreases the environmental footprint of operations, particularly in hard-to-reach areas.
As a reminder, consolidated billings for the third quarter of 2026, published on October 14, 2026, stood at €1.856 million, down 3%. The group will publish its annual revenue on January 13, 2027.
A drone capable of operating on live power lines
The LineDrone can land directly on a live power line up to 315,000 volts (315 kV), then move along it using a motorized translation system after stopping its aerial propulsion. Its design incorporates notably redundant propulsion systems, and it enables inspection, measurement, and diagnostic operations without power interruption.
In 2027, technological developments conducted by Drone Volt should enable the LineDrone to operate on lines up to 735,000 volts (735 kV), including on bundled conductors. For missions outside France, Drone Volt Expert doubles material and human resources to ensure operational continuity.
This organization is supported by the Drone Volt Powerline Center, a technical and operational center presented in a press release of September 10, 2026 and dedicated in particular to pilot training in line inspections and sensor installation.
