GTT stock climbs and targets its record at €220 following a historic high
GTT consolidates its session gains in a context of a rising Paris market, after recording a historic record last Tuesday. The share of the specialist in containment membranes for LNG carriers is now trading within reach of its resistance level, in an energy environment marked by tension in oil prices and the European Central Bank's decision to raise rates on Thursday.
BofA Securities upgrades to buy with a €230 target price for GTT
On Wednesday, September 9, BofA Securities upgraded its rating on GTT from "under review" to "buy", maintaining a price target of €230. This level implies an upside potential of approximately 5.7% compared to the current price of €217.60. This return to a positive view comes as GTT is already posting a 42.22% gain over twelve months, one of the strongest in the SBF 120 over the period.
The American bank thus returns to a constructive stance on the stock, which continues to be supported by the dynamics of the LNG carrier market and the rising momentum in the ethane sector. During the publication of 2025 annual results (on February 19, 2026), the company had highlighted the strong recovery in orders since the fourth quarter of 2025, with 14 additional orders at the start of the year, as well as the development of the very large capacity ethane segment, deliverable in 2027-2028.

During the session, GTT is trading at €217.60, a gain of 1.68% compared to the previous closing price of €214, in an SBF 120 that is up 0.85%. The stock is trading above its three moving averages: the 20-day MA at €209.48 (+3.88%), the 50-day MA at €199.31 (+9.18%) and the 200-day MA at €190.84 (+14.02%), which draws a bullish configuration across all three timeframes. The €220 resistance level is now less than 1.1% away from the current price, a threshold that the stock had briefly exceeded when the historic record of €221.80 was set on Tuesday, September 8 before falling back at the close. The RSI at 61 reflects sustained buying momentum, with no overbought signal for now.
Over the week, the stock gains 4.62% and 7.19% over one month, performances that fit into a continuous bullish trend for several weeks. The €195 support level remains well below, leaving comfortable margin between the current price and this floor. The next €220 resistance will be the level to watch to validate the continuation of the move.
