GTT stock falls below €227 after its record, an RSI in overbought territory
After posting an all-time high the previous day, GTT is beginning a consolidation this Friday, losing ground in an SBF 120 that is also trending downward. The decline occurs as CIC Market Solutions maintains its buy rating on the stock, with an unchanged price target.
A consolidation after the all-time high, in a declining Paris market
The GTT stock falls 1.85% to €222.80 during trading, retreating below the €227 resistance level that had been tested the previous day at the all-time record. The movement takes place in a globally retreating Paris market, with the SBF 120 losing 0.77% at midday and the CAC 40 declining 0.80%. The decline brings the stock to rank 110 out of 120 members of the SBF 120, among the weakest in the index during the session.
Over the week, the stock nevertheless retains a gain of more than 4%, which illustrates the scale of the rally that has been initiated in recent days. The macro context is weighing on all risky assets: the Bank of Japan raised its benchmark rate to 1.25% this Friday, its highest level since 1995, following a rate hike by the Fed on Wednesday, which increases pressure on global growth stocks. Brent, meanwhile, is trading at $102.57 per barrel during the session, down 2.15%, which tends to moderate appetite for values exposed to energy flows.

At the current price of €222.80, this target represents an upside potential of approximately 6.8%. On the fundamental side, GTT confirmed when publishing its first-half 2026 results on July 28, its annual targets: revenue targeted at 760 million euros and EBITDA target of 510 million, backed by strong visibility driven by an order book of 1.9 billion euros. GTT also announced on September 15, via its GTT Energy unit, two new technological offerings targeting LNG carriers and the LNG container ship segment.
Technically, the stock remains well above its three moving averages: the 20-day MA at €212.98, the 50-day MA at €202.32 and the 200-day MA at €192.01, with respective gaps of 4.6%, 10.1% and 16%. The RSI at 72 signals an overbought configuration, consistent with the series of records posted in recent weeks, and may explain the profit-taking observed at the end of the week. The next support zone to watch is located at €196.80.
