LVMH shares fall among the biggest decliners on the CAC 40, down 15.5% over three months
The luxury giant falls sharply this morning, in a Paris market driven lower by the drop in US technology stocks. The move erases part of the rebound seen in recent sessions and leaves the stock well below its levels of a year ago. Its two major sector peers are also declining.
A 2.99% decline that wipes out part of the 5.8% weekly rebound
The stock is at €406.15, down 2.99% from the previous close (€418.65). LVMH ranks third among the biggest decliners on the CAC 40, which is losing 1.43% intraday.
Today's decline follows a clearly positive week (+5.81%), so it gives back a large part of those gains.
On the moving averages, the price remains above the MA20 (a gap of +3.41%) and the MA50 (+1.28%), but is 12.68% below the MA200. The resistance level at €418.65, Thursday's close, is a level the stock was unable to hold.
