MaaT Pharma's share price soars 15%, strongest gain on Paris stock exchange
The Lyon-based biotech company stands out on Tuesday as the strongest performer among all securities listed in Paris, driven by regulatory developments that breathe new life into the stock after a period of intense selling pressure. The rebound occurs in a globally calm market environment, with the CAC 40 posting modest gains during the session.
A surge of 15.23% at the top of the CAC All Shares, amid strategic refocusing
MaaT Pharma gains 15.23% during the session at €1.498, establishing itself as the strongest performer in the CAC All Shares among the index's 320 securities. This jump follows the announcement, published on September 21, of a pre-IND meeting with the FDA scheduled for October for MaaT034, its drug candidate targeting advanced solid tumors. This regulatory milestone in the United States restores visibility to the company, which is seeking to consolidate its pipeline following the negative opinion issued by the EMA on September 18, 2026 on Xervyteg (MaaT013), its treatment for graft-versus-host disease. The shift towards MaaT034 and the global Phase 3 Phoenix trial now form the core of the Lyon-based biotech's clinical development strategy.
A stock in deep oversold territory despite today's rebound, with distant resistance at €3.19
Despite this marked rebound, the technical setup of MaaT Pharma remains severely deteriorated. The share price is well below its three moving averages: the 20-day MA is at €2.65, the 50-day MA at €2.75 and the 200-day MA at €4.64, representing respective negative gaps of 43.5%, 45.5% and 67.7%. These levels reflect the magnitude of the correction accumulated over recent months, with a decline of 47.53% over three months and 62.17% over one year.
The RSI at 26 confirms a marked oversold configuration, approaching the extreme threshold, which reflects the progressive exhaustion of selling pressure from recent weeks without validating a trend reversal. The next key event to watch is the publication of 2026 half-year results, expected on September 29.
