Medincell stock among top performers in SBF 120, up 4% intraday
The Montpellier-based biopharmaceutical company is posting a marked recovery on Tuesday, in a calm Paris market context. The rebound occurs as the stock remains under pressure in recent weeks and its American partner has just presented new clinical data on a key treatment.
A 4.14% rebound that ranks Medincell among the strongest gainers in the SBF 120
Medincell closes at €22.64, up 4.14% over the session, in an SBF 120 gaining 0.24% at close. This movement places the stock among the strongest gainers in the index, ranking 7 out of 120. Over the week, the stock shows a gain of nearly 4%, which partly offsets the monthly decline of 9% accumulated since late August.
Over one year, however, the performance remains positive at +6.59%. Today's session takes place in a subdued environment: the VIX falls to 14.26, a sign of controlled volatility in the markets.
Moving averages still overhead despite the rebound, FDA decision expected by end of 2026
Despite today's rebound, the technical configuration remains constrained. The price is at €22.64, or 1.22% below the 20-day MA at €22.92, and nearly 7% below the 50-day MA at €24.30. The 200-day MA at €24.96 looms about 9.3% above the price. The RSI at 34 approaches oversold territory without decisively entering it, signaling renewed buying interest but within a medium-term bearish context.
The support at €21.40 is holding for now, with resistance to overcome fixed at €24.88. From a fundamental perspective, the FDA decision on the olanzapine treatment developed with Teva, for which new clinical data were presented last week at Psych Congress 2026, is expected by year-end. It is this regulatory milestone that now concentrates attention on the stock.
