OVHcloud Targets Gladia, the STT Platform Used by Over 300,000 Developers
OVHcloud announced on Thursday its entry into exclusive negotiations for the acquisition of Gladia, a French startup specializing in audio transcription and voice artificial intelligence. This move aims to enhance the group's expertise in the areas of multimodal and agentive generative AI.
Gladia, an Already Established Voice Transcription Platform
Founded in 2022 in Paris, Gladia develops a transcription and audio intelligence platform based on a unique API. The technology transcribes conversations in real-time and batch mode in more than 100 languages, transforming audio data into structured and actionable information.
The startup currently has more than 300,000 developers and 2,000 enterprise clients, including HeyGen, Livestorm, Attention, Circleback, Method Financial, Recall.ai, and Leexi. These figures illustrate a significant adoption of its speech recognition (STT) platform in the market.

According to OVHcloud, this acquisition will enable the integration of audio transcription technology blocks developed by Gladia into its OVHcloud and OVHai offerings. The operation is part of the group's strategy to master its entire technology stack, particularly through its AI Lab.
This second acquisition aims to enhance the group's capabilities in sovereign, agentive, and multimodal generative AI, in line with its positioning as a leading European cloud provider.
