Renault shares lurking below their MM200 at €28.51, rebounding nearly 3%
The diamond-logo carmaker enjoyed a well-oriented session in a CAC 40 showing a clear advance. This rebound extends an already favorable month and places the stock against a long-term technical benchmark, a few days after the publication of its third-quarter sales.
The stock gains 8.1% over seven days, bringing it back above its MM20 and MM50, but without reaching its MM200, which remains further away
Renault shares gain 2.94% to €28.04, testing their resistance at €28.17, while the CAC 40 rises 1.51%.
The seven-day gain reaches 8.1%, bringing the price back above its MM20 (€26.97) and MM50 (€27.43), with respective gaps of 3.97% and 2.22%. Only the MM200, at €28.51, remains above the price, with a gap of 1.65%.
The RSI at 56 remains in neutral territory: the move is therefore not accompanied by any sign of overheating. The three-month performance, at -1.44%, is almost erased by this rebound.
The carmaker had confirmed its 2026 financial outlook on October 29, with an operating margin target of around 5.5%. Its revenue of €11.6 billion in the third quarter had then been published, with sales to partners and a more favorable product mix.

The Parisian session is well oriented: the CAC 40 gains 1.51% and the stock ranks among the strongest gainers in the index. Banks are leading the move, with BNP Paribas at the top of the index, up 5%.
Renault also benefits from a calmer rate environment: Brent falls more than 1% to $102.20 per barrel, after a 7.7% decline over eight days, which eases the energy bill of the automotive sector.
On the short-selling side, six funds together hold a net short position of 8.19% of the share capital according to the disclosures consulted, down 2.48 points over 30 days. This level remains high, but the trend is downward, which may accompany covering purchases without allowing any conclusion about the funds' intentions.
Based on expected earnings per share, the stock trades at about 4.5 times current-year earnings, according to the consensus of the analysts surveyed. The MM200 level at €28.51, which the price has not yet crossed, is the closest technical benchmark.
