Safran stock hits absolute record at €361.90 and targets €370
One day after approaching €361.50, Safran reaches a new all-time high at €361.90 during the session, erasing the previous day's record. The stock has consolidated slightly since this intraday peak, giving back a fraction of its gains in a CAC 40 up 0.66%.
A historic record at €361.90 extending the 32% rally over three months
The Safran stock touches €361.90 during this Thursday's session, beating by twenty cents the previous all-time record at €361.70. The current price softens slightly to €360.10, representing a gain of 0.45% compared to Wednesday's close at €358.50. This pullback from the day's peak illustrates partial profit-taking, without undermining the underlying momentum: the stock is showing nearly 6% over the week and more than 32% over three months.
The session is also marked by the upside break of the former resistance at €358.50, now converted into immediate support. Beyond that, the next psychological reference point stands at €370, a round level never tested given the all-time high zone in which the stock is trading.
Moving averages clearly exceeded and an RSI reflecting tight configuration
From a technical indicators perspective, Safran is trading well above its three moving averages: the 20-day MA at €335.52 is exceeded by more than 7%, the 50-day MA at €327.52 by nearly 10%, and the 200-day MA at €308.64 by more than 16%. This gap reflects particularly extended bullish momentum since spring, confirmed by a clearly positive MACD (histogram at 3.19). The RSI at 67 approaches overbought territory without formally entering it, signaling a tight configuration where sellers are beginning to weigh more heavily after each spike.
In this context, the support at €321.40 (former resistance broken) remains the medium-term low reference, far below the current price. The analysts' views on the stock will constitute a useful framing element to assess valuation after this exceptional quarterly rally.
