SES invests in Elveo Mobile for satellite-to-phone connectivity
Luxembourg-based satellite operator SES announced on August 17, 2026 an expanded strategic investment and collaboration with Elveo Mobile, a company born from the merger between Lynk and Omnispace. The agreement targets direct satellite-to-phone and connected object connectivity services.
A partnership focused on satellite-to-device connectivity
SES has announced an expanded strategic investment and collaboration with Elveo Mobile (Elveo), a company created following the merger between Lynk and Omnispace. Elveo brings together the legacy of two players in direct-to-device (D2D) connectivity services and will provide mobile connectivity from space to phones, devices and machines worldwide.
According to the announced terms, SES will support Elveo in deploying its D2D services and the two companies will work together on spectrum-related initiatives on a global scale.
Access to infrastructure and multi-orbit integration
SES will make available its worldwide space and ground infrastructure and will support Elveo in its commercialization, engineering, operations and regulatory needs. The collaboration should enable SES to enhance its services for its customers in the mobile telecommunications, enterprise and government sectors.
SES users will benefit from multi-orbit access to Elveo's Low Earth Orbit (LEO) network, combined with SES's GEO and MEO networks. The two companies indicate they want to offer an integrated multi-orbit satellite D2D solution.
