A New Record at €8.22 Erases 2022 Peak for SES Shares
The stock marked a four-year high at €8.22, exceeding the previous record of €8.20 set in 2022. This movement comes after a 4.77% decline the previous day, which followed the prior peak of €8.19 reached on Tuesday. The stock is among the strongest risers on the SBF 120, as the index itself gained 0.84% during the session. Over the past year, the performance has exceeded 65%, with a 22% gain over the last three months. Two analyst adjustments fueled the session: BNP Paribas Exane raised its target from €7.10 to €8.50 while maintaining an outperform rating, whereas Morgan Stanley increased its target from €6.50 to €7.00 with a market-weight stance. The former offers a residual potential of about 6% on the current price, while the latter is now below.
Stock Breaks Above Bollinger Upper Band and Enters Overbought Territory
Today's rise pushes the stock above the upper Bollinger band at €7.99, into an overbought configuration. The RSI at 68 is approaching the threshold of 70 without crossing it, signaling a stretched but not yet extreme movement. The gap with the 200-day moving average, at €6.19, is nearly 29.5%, reflecting the magnitude of the underlying rally. The technical resistance previously identified at €7.77 has now been significantly exceeded. Beyond today's record of €8.22, the stock is moving into uncharted territory on the four-year scale. The next milestone on the calendar: the semi-annual results for 2026, expected on July 30.
