The defense electronics and aerospace group has inaugurated an immersive space called 'Flight Safety Center' on its Bordeaux campus, presented as the first stage of a planned rollout across multiple sites.
This initiative aims to promote aviation safety culture across the entire civil and military aeronautical ecosystem.
An immersive center open to all stakeholders in the industry
Thales has inaugurated a new 'Flight Safety Center' on its Bordeaux campus, an immersive space dedicated to understanding, transmitting and developing aviation safety culture.
The facility is intended for employees, clients, partners, suppliers, authorities and experts, who are invited to train there and share best practices.
The educational program combines interactive experiences, technological demonstrations and operational feedback, in order to cover safety throughout the life cycle of an aeronautical system, from its design to its operation, including development, certification and maintenance.
A concept designed to be deployed across multiple sites
Located on the Bordeaux campus, presented as one of the group's leading aeronautical centers of excellence, this 'Flight Safety Center' represents the first step in a broader ambition.
Thales plans to deploy this concept across multiple strategic sites, to support the upskilling of 21,000 employees in its civil and military aeronautical activities worldwide.
"This Flight Safety Center was designed to bring this safety culture to life, share it with our entire ecosystem and collectively prepare for the challenges of aviation tomorrow," said Yannick Assouad, deputy managing director of Avionics at Thales.
