Trigano shares among the strongest gainers in the SBF 120, but down 13% over the quarter
The camper van manufacturer rebounds sharply in mid-afternoon, in a slightly positive Paris market. The stock ranks among the strongest gainers of the broader index, after months of decline.
A rebound that brings the stock back above its 20-day moving average
Trigano shares gain 2.74% to €131.10 and rank among the strongest gainers of the SBF 120, which rises 0.25%. This move puts the stock back above its MA20, at €126.48 (a gap of +3.65%), while it remained below its MA50 (€136.24) and its MA200 (€149.71).
The stock is up 4.9% over one week, but still down more than 13% over three months.
The latest decline dates back to mid-October, when the price fell more than 10% over one month, so today's rebound only partly offsets it. The support at €123.6 and the resistance at €136.4 frame the current trading range.
A price-to-earnings ratio of 9 times current-year profits
Based on expected earnings per share, according to the consensus of the analysts surveyed, the stock trades at about 9.0 times current-year earnings and 8.2 times next year's, with expected EPS growth of 9.5%.
The group is also continuing its share buybacks: €73 million was repurchased over twelve months, i.e. 2.9% of market capitalisation, according to the latest filing read on October 26.
When it published its annual results on September 23, the company cited as risks persistent consumer hesitation, despite strong trade-show attendance, and as strengths the growth of its order book, which provides visibility for the first half. Analyst opinions on the stock remain to be followed as future publications come out.
