A Drop of More Than 5% That Pulls Ubisoft Below All Its Moving Averages
The Ubisoft Entertain share loses 5.41% to €5.28 in trading, the worst performer in the SBF 120 while the broadened index hovers in balance (+0.03%). The stock had nonetheless risen above all three of its moving averages on July 30, following a gain of 4.5% that seemed to confirm the summer rebound. This Wednesday, the price is trading below the 20-day moving average at €5.53 (difference of -4.45%), below the 50-day moving average at €5.36 (-1.42%) and below the 200-day moving average at €5.37 (-1.60%).
The resistance level at €6.02 is moving further away, while the support at €4.73 now represents the next identified downside benchmark. The RSI at 52 remains neutral, with no signal of selling exhaustion for the moment, which leaves today's momentum without immediate technical counterweight.
Massive Bearish Bet on Capital, Despite Slight Decline Over Thirty Days
Structural selling pressure remains very present on the stock. According to registered declarations, eleven funds cumulate 13.16% of capital sold short, representing one of the highest levels on the French market. This figure has nonetheless declined by one percentage point over thirty days (it stood at 14.18% one month earlier), reflecting a slight decrease without a clear reversal. Such a level signals that institutional investors are maintaining significant negative positions on the stock, betting on a continued decline or seeking to hedge an existing exposure — without it being possible to distinguish between the two motives.
On the substance, net bookings for the first quarter of 2026-27, published on July 23, came in at €255.8 million, slightly above target but down 9.2% year-over-year. The stock has also declined by nearly 39% over twelve months, a sign of an underlying trend still weighing despite recent technical rebounds. The analyst consensus remains an element to monitor in this context of persistent pressure.
