Vivendi stock drops 32% in three months and falls back to its support level of €1.46
The media and communications group closes the session in the red, contrary to the SBF 120 which closes slightly higher. Selling pressure remains strong on the stock, which has accumulated a decline of more than one-third of its value over three months.
A 2% decline that extends the slide since the half-year results on September 3rd
The Vivendi SE stock loses 1.98% to €1.49 at close, while the SBF 120 gains 0.24% over the same session. The underperformance is part of a broader decline: -10.59% over one month and -32.15% over three months, a dynamic triggered since the publication of the first half 2026 results on September 3rd. These accounts revealed an EBITDA of €28 million and a valuation of the investment portfolio that fell to €5,117 million against €5,878 million at the end of 2025, due to a marked decline in the stake in Universal Music Group. The rank of 110th out of 120 members in the SBF 120 classification on this day places the stock among the strongest declines in the index, in a relatively calm European market (VIX at 14.28).
A stock anchored below its three moving averages, the €1.46 support level in sight
The technical configuration of Vivendi SE remains degraded: the price trades 4.74% below the MA20 at €1.56, 12.07% below the MA50 at €1.69 and nearly 28% below the MA200 at €2.06. This triple downward pressure leaves no technical support in the short term. The RSI at 40 remains in a neutral-low zone, without a clear oversold signal such as the one that characterized the rebound on September 11th (RSI at 20 at that time), which limits the argument for immediate selling exhaustion. The price thus returns within reach of the support level at €1.46, a level already tested in early September according to available market data.
A clear break of this threshold would reopen uncharted territory over five years. Among the risks identified during the half-year publication, the deterioration of the Universal Music Group share price (central stake in the portfolio) and ongoing regulatory procedures (European Commission investigation into Lagardère notably) continue to limit visibility. The €1.46 support level therefore constitutes the pivot level to monitor in the coming sessions.
