TF1 Stock Breaks Through Its 6.57€ Support and Posts New Low Since 2023
Tuesday's session proved particularly challenging for TF1, with the stock posting an unprecedented low since 2023 at 6.45€. Selling pressure was exerted in a context where the Paris market was otherwise trending upward, with both the CAC 40 and SBF 120 closing in positive territory.
Three-Year Low Breached Below 6.57€, at the Bottom of SBF 120
The TF1 stock declined 2.41% to 6.4750€ at close, after touching 6.45€ intraday, marking a low not seen since 2023 (the previous floor was at 6.46€). The stock thus broke through its 6.57€ support level during the session and failed to reclaim it, remaining well below this level at close. With this decline, TF1 ranks among the strongest losers in the SBF 120, on a day when the index nevertheless advanced 0.24% at close.
The performance is severe across multiple timeframes: the stock is down 4.71% over the week and 7.04% over the month, bringing its decline over one year to 24.4%. In short, today's move is part of a degraded underlying trend, which had already led the stock below its moving averages in early September.
Three Moving Averages Above Price and Fundamentals Under Advertising Pressure
Technically, TF1 is trading below its three reference moving averages: the 20-day MA at 6.79€ (gap of -4.64%), the 50-day MA at 6.87€ (-5.75%) and the 200-day MA at 7.18€ (-9.82%). The RSI at 38 is sliding toward the oversold zone without having fully entered it, reflecting selling pressure that has persisted for several sessions with no visible sign of exhaustion. The next threshold to monitor is resistance at 7.05€, now significantly far from the current price.
On the fundamental side, first-half 2026 results, published on July 24, highlighted weaknesses in the business model: a linear advertising context still under pressure, negative scope effects of 39 million euros linked to 2025 disposals, and an exceptional tax of 5 million euros weighing on earnings. On the positive side, digital momentum remains positive, with TF1+ revenue up 18.6% to 109 million euros in the first half and the launch of the Netflix partnership, whose contribution is expected in the second half according to information disclosed in this publication.
