VINCI Energies Secures €192 Million Contract to Electrify Guinea
VINCI Energies has entered into a €192 million contract with Guinea's Ministry of Energy and Ministry of Economy and Finance to develop electrical infrastructure. The project is supported by French authorities.
Comprehensive Electrical Infrastructure Development
The contract awarded to VINCI Energies involves the creation of a suite of electricity production and transmission infrastructure in Guinea. The scope of work includes constructing a 50 MWc solar power plant, installing 350 km of 225 kV electric transmission lines, and building two very high voltage transformation stations.
Project Duration and Workforce Mobilization
The project will span two and a half years and will engage over 600 individuals. Local teams will benefit from training sessions and knowledge transfer from VINCI Energies' companies.
Integration into Guinea's Electrical Infrastructure Development Program
This initiative is part of Guinea's electrical infrastructure development program aimed at enhancing the country's energy sovereignty by incorporating renewable energy production.
