bioMérieux shares fall back below their €97.35 resistance after peaking at €97.45
The in vitro diagnostics manufacturer falls sharply during the session, after a several-week rebound driven by the publication of its quarterly sales. Two brokers have raised their target price over the past two days, but today's move runs counter to the trend in a Paris market that is trading higher.
Resistance broken early in the session, then abandoned
The bioMérieux share price stands at €94.50, down 3.23% over the session, while the SBF 120 gains 0.52%. It did not hold its high: after touching €97.45 and breaking through its resistance at €97.35, it fell back below that level, placing it among the largest decliners in the index.
The decline remains modest given the ground covered, with a gain of 23.13% over one month.
The share price remains well above its 20-day moving average (€88.91), with a gap of 6.29%, and the RSI at 71 places the stock in overbought territory following this rise. The group had confirmed its 2026 objectives when it published sales up 8.1% in the third quarter, reaching €1,042 million in organic growth.
Two target price increases in two days, including €106 at Deutsche Bank
On the side of analyst ratings, Deutsche Bank today raised its target price from €103 to €106, while maintaining its buy rating.
The previous day, Piper Sandler had raised its target from €80 to €100, while remaining neutral on the stock. Both targets therefore sit above the current share price, by 6.0% for Piper Sandler and 12.2% for Deutsche Bank.
The market backdrop is rather supportive for equities: the CAC 40 is up 0.48% and the VIX has fallen to 16.86, following the strong session on Wall Street on Wednesday. Nevertheless, bioMérieux is moving against this general trend this morning.
