Genfit shares soar 26% in a week, among the leaders of the SBF 120
The Lille-based biotech specialising in liver and metabolic diseases accelerates sharply in late afternoon trading, in a Paris market that is stagnating. The move extends a rebound begun at the end of October, after a very difficult quarter, and comes two days before a quarterly publication.
A rebound that places Genfit above its three moving averages
Genfit shares gain 6.35% to €11.06 while the CAC 40 and the SBF 120 are virtually unchanged, placing it among the strongest gainers of the SBF 120.
Over the week, the gain reaches 26.26%. This recovery has not yet erased the quarterly decline of -24.56%, but it reduces the loss accumulated since the summer.
The stock has risen back above its MM50 (€10.80, a gap of +2.41%) and its MM200 (€9.98, a gap of +10.82%), which it had lost during the October correction. The gap with the MM20 (€9.25) reaches +19.57%, a sign of a recent acceleration rather than a simple return to balance.
The €11.46 resistance level in sight ahead of third-quarter sales
The share price is now about 3.6% below the €11.46 resistance, the nearest level on the chart. The RSI, at 59, remains far from overbought zones: the rebound has therefore not yet exhausted its momentum.
On November 2, on the sidelines of the AASLD congress, Genfit also detailed its strategy in acute-on-chronic liver failure and its MASH diagnostic activity, through a scientific and strategic programme presented without any new figures. The company will publish its third-quarter revenue on November 5.
