Interparfums stock retreats but gains nearly 17% over one month
The Paris-based perfume company's share price paused on Friday, losing ground in a declining Paris market context. This pullback occurs while Interparfums maintains a solid monthly and quarterly performance, following several weeks of strong recovery. The publication of half-year results on September 9 had given new momentum to the stock.
A decline of 1.64% that does not undermine the stock's solid monthly performance
Interparfums falls 1.64% to €28.76 during the session, dropping back below the €29.24 resistance level which corresponded to the previous day's closing price. The decline is consistent with the SBF 120 itself retreating by 0.77% at mid-day. Despite this movement, the balance sheet remains flattering over recent weeks: the stock still gains 16.72% over one month and 15.44% over three months, extending a rebound initiated in the summer.
Over one year, the increase remains modest at 3.07%, which recalls that the stock had declined sharply in 2025 before recovering. The VIX, a barometer of volatility in American markets, falls by more than 13% during the session to 15.35, which reflects an easing of global tensions without however stimulating purchases of the stock.
RSI at the overbought threshold and €29.24 resistance, two technical benchmarks for what lies ahead
The RSI at 70 places Interparfums exactly on the overbought boundary, a level consistent with the vigor of the monthly rebound but which signals a potential loss of momentum in buying dynamics. The stock nonetheless remains well anchored above its three moving averages: it exceeds the 20-day MA by 2.86%, the 50-day MA by 9.60% and the 200-day MA by 15.22%, which confirms an underlying uptrend across all timeframes. The €29.24 resistance constitutes a key immediate level to monitor in order to consolidate recent momentum, while the €24.46 support remains far below.
On the fundamental side, Interparfums targeted, when publishing its first-half 2026 results, annual revenue between €850 million and €870 million, with an expected margin around 18%. The €29.24 resistance remains the key level to monitor to confirm the continuation of the upward movement.
