Jensen-Group: orders up 26.4% over nine months, net profit down 15.8%
Jensen-Group published a nine-month business update on November 4, 2026, showing that commercial momentum and profitability moved in opposite directions. Order intake reached €447.7 million, up 26.4%, and revenue rose 13.7% to €452.5 million. By contrast, EBIT fell 0.4% to €55.1 million.
The gap widens further down the income statement. Net income attributable to shareholders decreased 15.8% to €39.9 million, and earnings per share fell 13.9% to €4.33.
The industrial laundry machinery manufacturer said it remains on track to achieve record annual revenue, with EBIT expected between €72 and €76 million.
EBIT margin down 1.7 points to 12.2% of revenue
The increase in sales did not carry through to EBIT. Relative to revenue, EBIT stood at 12.2% for the first nine months of 2026, compared with 13.9% a year earlier: the EBIT margin declined by 1.7 points.
The group specified that the recent acquisition in the United States contributed less to EBIT, as its integration into the existing US operations is still ongoing.
Below EBIT, the contribution from equity-accounted companies fell to €2.4 million, compared with €4.3 million over the same period of 2025. The group also cited an unfavorable foreign exchange result, higher interest expenses and the effects of purchase price allocation linked to recent acquisitions.
In addition, the contribution from INAX was weaker, following a prior-year result that the group described as exceptionally high. According to Jensen-Group, these factors together reduced earnings per share by approximately €1. Management stated that "operational performance remains solid."
Third-quarter orders up 76.3%
The third quarter accounts for most of the commercial acceleration. Order intake reached €168.5 million, up 76.3% year on year, after €110.5 million in the second quarter.
At the half-year results published on August 6, 2026, the group had cited among its risks the decline in second-quarter orders compared with the same period of 2025.
First-half order intake then stood at €279.2 million, up 7.9%. Cumulative nine-month order intake now shows growth of 26.4%, indicating that the third quarter changed the trend for the year.
Revenue followed a different trajectory. It came to €136.3 million in the third quarter, compared with €161.9 million in the second quarter and €154.3 million in the first. Cumulative revenue growth thus moved from 20.2% in the first half, as published on August 6, 2026, to 13.7% over nine months, while orders in the quarter exceeded sales for the period.
EBIT target of €72 to €76 million accompanied by a cautious stance
For the full year 2026, Jensen-Group expects EBIT between €72 and €76 million. At the annual results published on March 5, 2026, operating profit for fiscal 2025 stood at €68.8 million. The group added that "growing market uncertainty calls for a cautious position."
The risks mentioned include the conflict in the Middle East, the potentially negative financial impact of customs duties, currency volatility, and changes in energy and transport costs. The group is continuing to expand its US production capacity, its investments in artificial intelligence and robotics, and the development of its recurring revenue with its Maxi-Press business.
As of September 30, 2026, 316,140 shares had been repurchased, including 310,469 under a previous program, at an average price of €50.50, for a total of €15.9 million. The current program covers a maximum of 963,140 shares, or 10% of share capital, until June 2, 2028.
Over nine months, the growth in orders and sales has translated into stable EBIT, followed by lower net income due to financial items and effects related to acquisitions. The 2026 annual results will be published on March 4, 2027.
