Renault Group has announced the renaming of its Le Mans site to ‘Manufacture Louis Schweitzer - Le Mans’, in tribute to its former CEO who passed away in November 2025. This decision acknowledges Louis Schweitzer's role in major transformations of the Group and his contribution to structuring the ecosystem.
Honoring a Legacy

Under his leadership, the Group underwent significant transformations: modernization and internationalization, launch of iconic models (Twingo, Scénic, and Kangoo), acquisition of Dacia, formation of the Alliance with Nissan, and establishment of Auto Chassis International. This last entity laid the foundations of the Le Mans chassis excellence ecosystem.
