Rexel stock rebounds above its 20-day moving average and targets the 36.85 € threshold
The electrical equipment distributor is benefiting from a favorable trading session on Paris markets, with the CAC 40 gaining 1% and the SBF 120 up 0.95%. Rexel's rebound is part of a technical momentum that warrants attention, as the stock navigates between several moving averages and 2026 targets had been raised during the half-year publication at end of July.
A 2% rebound that brings the stock back into contact with its key moving averages
Rexel gains 2.12% to 36.65 € during the session, establishing itself among the strongest gainers of the SBF 120 in a well-oriented Paris market. The stock thus returns above its 20-day moving average (36.22 €), with a positive gap of 1.19%, indicating that short-term momentum is turning favorably after the breakdown of the 35.40 € support observed at the beginning of last week. By contrast, the 50-day moving average at 36.85 € continues to resist: the price remains below it, at 0.54% from this threshold, which constitutes the next zone to monitor to confirm the recovery.
The RSI at 46 reflects a neutral configuration, without excess in either direction, leaving room for the movement to continue. The resistance level at 37.95 € — already tested in early September without being broken — remains the target to achieve to validate a more pronounced reversal, while the support at 35.26 € protects the lower end of the range.

During the publication of H1 2026 results (July 27, 2026), Rexel had raised its annual targets, citing record order backlog and increased visibility. The group guided toward revenues close to 20.4 billion euros for the fiscal year, driven notably by the growth of digital sales at 35% of the total. These positive elements coexisted, however, with net debt rising to 3,322 M€ and deteriorated operational working capital needs at 16.3% of revenues. Over one year, the stock shows a performance of 30.8%, which testifies to the extent of the progress achieved since September 2025.
Monday's session is also unfolding in a heavy macro environment: the Fed, the Bank of Japan and the ECB raised their key rates during the past week, while the Bank of England maintained its rate, citing the energy shock linked to tensions in the Middle East. This rise in long-term rates can weigh on the valuations of indebted companies, of which Rexel is one given its net debt. The next reading of market indicators for the stock will depend on whether or not the 50-day moving average at 36.85 € is broken.
