Veolia shares gain 1.76% and hit a 30-session high on the eve of results
The environmental services group posts a bullish session in a well-oriented Paris market. The stock is approaching a long-term moving average that it has not crossed for several weeks, on the eve of a financial release.
A break above the €33.01 threshold leaves the stock below its 200-day moving average
The rise brings the price to €33.53 versus €32.95 the previous day, and the stock thus clears its 30-session high (€33.01), which has now become support. In the same move, it moves above its 20-day and 50-day moving averages, at €32.25 and €31.83 respectively.
The 200-day moving average, at €33.86, remains however slightly above the price, with a gap of 0.97%.
The RSI at 71 reflects an overbought configuration after a 9.11% gain over one month, all the more so as the stock still gives up 2.25% over three months. Veolia is rising more than the CAC 40, which gains 1.52% at midday, and ranks in the middle of the index.
The first nine months of 2026 on the agenda for Thursday, November 5
The group publishes its revenue for the first nine months of 2026 on Thursday, November 5, i.e. tomorrow. The session takes place against a backdrop of heavy tension on French debt: the 10-year OAT stands at 4.93% according to the Banque de France data of November 3, 20 basis points below its 5.13% peak of October 22, and its spread over the Bund reaches 1.62 points.
Following the negative outlook assigned by Fitch to the French rating, the debate on the 2027 budget continues at the National Assembly. As of November 4, the first key event is therefore tomorrow's publication, with the €33.01 support within reach of the price.
