LVMH Stock Climbs Nearly 3% and Breaks Through a Key Resistance
The world's leading luxury company accelerates in mid-morning trading in Paris, with the CAC 40 significantly trending upwards following the US-Iran framework agreement. The stock extends the rebound that began in late May across the entire Paris luxury sector.
LVMH stock gains 2.8% to €524.90 during the session, breaking through the resistance at €510.60 identified as the previous reference threshold. The stock ranks among the top gainers in the CAC 40, with the index up 1.14% thanks to easing Brent prices and renewed appetite for risk assets. The weekly performance is nearly 10%, and the rebound reaches 13.9% over a month. Technically, the price is established at 9.96% above the MM20 (€477.36) and 10.89% above the MM50 (€473.34), confirming the recovery that began in late May. However, the MM200 at €542.52 remains 3.25% above the current price, serving as the next graphical reference. The RSI at 67 indicates a clearly bullish momentum, without yet entering the overbought zone.

Today's movement occurs in a market environment transformed by the announced framework agreement between Washington and Tehran, which plans for the gradual reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and led to a roughly 4% drop in Brent prices at the start of the Asian session. This energy easing benefits all European cyclical assets, including luxury, which is highly sensitive to consumer confidence and global economic conditions. However, the sectoral backdrop remains mixed. Retail sales of jewelry and gold in China continue to decline by 21.3% year-on-year in April, while Swiss watch exports to the Chinese market have increased by 17.1%, indicating a demand that struggles to stabilize. The World Bank has also lowered its global growth forecast for 2026 to 2.5%, the lowest level since the pandemic. Despite this rebound, the stock remains 3.25% below its 200-day moving average, which will be the next technical reference monitored.
